Maybelline Baby Lips | Review

L-R: Cherry Me, Intense Care, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch. Buy them here.
I have known about the hype for these 'babies' pretty much since 2013 began, and so when I was in the USA in March they were the first things I rushed to get! I bought Peach Kiss and Cherry me, and despite the million other lip products I brought with me, these are all I wore for the entire trip! After returning to UK I wished I'd bought more colours or 'flavours' if you like, so I was pretty excited when they were released into Boots and I immediately went out and bought more!

Cherry Me has a sheer red finish, giving your lips a bit of colour whilst keeping them hydrated & soft. It smells like cherries, surprise surprise and I love wearing this on an everyday basis just for a subtle bit of colour!

Intense Care has a very subtle tropical scent, but to be honest, it's so subtle I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't made a point of smelling the product for the purpose of this post. It's a clear balm, making your lips slightly shiny, without changing the colour of your lips. It nourishes the lips, and the packaging makes it really easy to apply and carry around in your make up bag.

Peach Kiss is my favourite from the range. The scent is gorgeous, a sweet, subtle peach scent, and the balm gives your lips a shimmery nude finish, again as well as nourishing and moisturising your lips.

Pink Punch has a less shiny and more apparent finish to the lips. Again, it is hydrating, giving your lips a bit of colour without being too dramatic. I love how this makes my lips feel and the colour pay off is really great for a lip balm!

All of these balms are very moisturising, claiming to keep your lips hydrated for up to eight hours! The packaging is great, bright colours making it perfect for spring and summer, and for brightening up the winter! All of the Baby Lips range are a great addition to any make up bag, and won't make a dent in your bank account! They are available in Boots and Superdrug for £2.99, and are often on a 3 for 2 offer!

What do you think of the Baby Lips? Are they worth the hype?

Love from, Rozzi xxx

  1. I'm honestly not as overwhelmed with them as everyone else seems to be! My lips are always really dry and cracked at the minute so I have to reapply my lip balm constantly. I haven't yet found a lipstick that doesn't emphasise the dryness so I bought the cherry me and pink punch thinking I'd finally be able to have a bit of colour and moisturise at the same time (hallelujah!). Unfortunately I just found the colour built up in the cracks in my lips and looked terrible :( I guess I'll just have to stick to the clear ones in future
