Buxom Lip Cream | Review

As Essie Button says, this product gives you 'porn star' lips, but I wouldn't necessarily say that that was a bad thing! It's a creamy formula meaning that it's not sticky like your typical lip gloss, but it does give a shiny finish such as a gloss would. This product makes your lips tingle, and that's probably an under exaggeration. I personally love that feeling, but I know it might not appeal to everyone, so before you part with $14.99 on this product, make sure you don't mind the tingly feeling!

This product really plumps up your lips, giving that full 'pout' look, and not only does it actually help to moisturise your lips, it is also full of Vitamins A and E keeping your lips protected & supple!

I love this product, and it is going to be stuck on my lips for the next week or so!

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation | Review

This foundation is the best foundation I have ever used. Yes, it is the most expensive foundation I own but it is also the foundation that has actually made people comment on the look of my skin; something that has never ever happened to me before!

Although it's name says 'sheer', the coverage is actually pretty high. I had the impression by it's name that this was going to be a low coverage base for just concealer and powder, but this product is great for evening out skin tones and covering blemishes. This product makes my skin look dewy with a perfect finish, and even though I have oily/combination skin, this product doesn't slide or move and it doesn't highlight my oily or dry areas.

The only down side to this product is the packaging. Although when you first buy it the packaging looks classy and neat, it doesn't stay this way. For one, this product doesn't come with a pump, making it hard to get the right amount of product out. This also means that the lid (that dirt seems to love to stick to) gets dirty very quickly. However the product inside the packaging makes up for this, and it is a product I will repurchase again and again.

You can buy Nars Sheer Glow here for £30.50 - let me know your thoughts!

Christmas Come Early

On September 8th I woke up to Christmas come early! I'd won my first ever giveaway! It was run Essie Button on this video, and it was full of American and Sephora goodies that are difficult to get hold of in the UK!

In this post, I thought I'd go over a few of the bits included, and give you a heads up on what will be reviewed and featured on my blog over the next few weeks!

Was so excited to receive these products, considering they are not usually something I can afford it's lovely to be able to try them out!
So thank you SO much to Estee! She is my favourite youtuber and blogger ever, she is so funny so make sure you go and have a look at her you tube channel & blog!

Have you tried any of these products?

Maybelline Baby Lips | Review

L-R: Cherry Me, Intense Care, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch. Buy them here.
I have known about the hype for these 'babies' pretty much since 2013 began, and so when I was in the USA in March they were the first things I rushed to get! I bought Peach Kiss and Cherry me, and despite the million other lip products I brought with me, these are all I wore for the entire trip! After returning to UK I wished I'd bought more colours or 'flavours' if you like, so I was pretty excited when they were released into Boots and I immediately went out and bought more!

Cherry Me has a sheer red finish, giving your lips a bit of colour whilst keeping them hydrated & soft. It smells like cherries, surprise surprise and I love wearing this on an everyday basis just for a subtle bit of colour!

Intense Care has a very subtle tropical scent, but to be honest, it's so subtle I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't made a point of smelling the product for the purpose of this post. It's a clear balm, making your lips slightly shiny, without changing the colour of your lips. It nourishes the lips, and the packaging makes it really easy to apply and carry around in your make up bag.

Peach Kiss is my favourite from the range. The scent is gorgeous, a sweet, subtle peach scent, and the balm gives your lips a shimmery nude finish, again as well as nourishing and moisturising your lips.

Pink Punch has a less shiny and more apparent finish to the lips. Again, it is hydrating, giving your lips a bit of colour without being too dramatic. I love how this makes my lips feel and the colour pay off is really great for a lip balm!

All of these balms are very moisturising, claiming to keep your lips hydrated for up to eight hours! The packaging is great, bright colours making it perfect for spring and summer, and for brightening up the winter! All of the Baby Lips range are a great addition to any make up bag, and won't make a dent in your bank account! They are available in Boots and Superdrug for £2.99, and are often on a 3 for 2 offer!

What do you think of the Baby Lips? Are they worth the hype?

Summers End | OOTD

Dress: ASOS | Bowler Hat: H&M | Cut Out Boots: Primark

My favourite time of year is here again, and I don't think I'm the only one who loves the transition from summer to autumn, from sandals to boots, and dresses to jumpers. Today was one of those days where you wake up, look out of the window and decide it is going to be a beautiful day - but I still opted for some trusty boots. Just in case.
This dress is amazing for all year round. The print is really versatile, and looks great with tights or sandals! I love smock dresses in general. I think they're really flattering on my curvy body shape, and hide all the bits you don't want on show; (love handles, I'm looking at you!)
I love the look of the hat and the boots with this dress, it fits the monochrome trend perfectly. These boots are great dupes for the Jeffrey Campbell cut out boots, from Primark at only £18 I think they're great. Even dupes for the Topshop Arabel 2 Cut Out Boots at under half the price.

What's your favourite thing about Autumn? Do you love this time of year too?!

Nailed It | Monday Manicure

I'm completely honest, nails is one thing I am really bad at. I simply do not have the patience to sit still and wait for my nails to dry! However, if I do know that I'm going to be sitting still for at least an hour, then I love to make my brittle nails look a tad prettier. In this post, I am going to be taking you through my top six favs for painting my nails.

The Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polishes are great for a simple manicure. The thick brush aids neat application with one stroke! I find two coats make the colour nice and bold, but you could definitely get away with the one coat. The shade pictured is Soul Session, which is a great nude that makes your hands look really tanned!
To start with, I wasn't a huge fan of Essie Nail Polishes. However, since they changed up their brush, I really love how these polishes go on the nails. The finish is great, but you definitely need two coats, and a decent top coat because I've found these polishes will chip after two or three days. The colour pictured is Bikini So Teeny, which is a perfect pastel blue shade.
I cannot sing Barry M Gelly Nail Paints praises enough. In fact, I adore all of Barry M's nail polishes, and if I could only wear one brand of nail polish for the rest of my life, it would be Barry M. The Gelly polishes go on beautifully, and you only need one coat to create a flawless finish, and these polishes last ages - honestly at least a week. This shade pictured is Pomegranate which is a gorgeous hot pink colour.
Next up is the Sinful Colour Nail Polishes which I picked up in Boots for about £1.99. For the price, these polishes are pretty great, although you do need a couple coats to keep the colour intensity up. The colour range is great, and paired with a good top coat, these polishes aren't bad at all! The shade pictured is Mint Apple, which satisfies pastel green obsession for my nails. It also has a subtle glitter running through it, which is lovely - although it does make it hard to come off!
As if the Ciate Nail Polishes haven't been raved about enough, but I am totally going to jump on this bandwagon. I wouldn't usually spend over £5 on a nail polish, but after receiving this polish in my Glossy Box, it's hardly been off my nails! Definitely worth the money and the hype.
Finally, I've been loving this Angelica Nail Polish that you can buy from Primark. They're roughly £2.50 and I would definitely repurchase because for something from Primark, they're pretty impressive. You only need one coat to create a pigmented finish, and it lasts longer than my Essie Polishes! The colour pictured is Calypso which is a great greeny turquoise colour that is perfect for summer!

My Top Tips For An At Home Manicure

1. Paint your right hand first (or left hand if you're left handed!) This means you're not worried about smudging your left hand as you attempt to paint your right - which I find the hardest to paint!

2. Wait until you know you have time to paint your nails, leaving time for them to dry as well. Rushing your nails is a recipe for disaster!

3. Make sure you file and buff your nails before applying colour. This means you have a good base on which to apply any paint.

4. Make sure you have a decent base and top coat! If you're not sure which one to use, tune in on Thursday, where I'm posting all about it!

Hope you enjoyed this post! What colour do you have on your nails today?
